I can't speak for others but for me it was the realization that I had built a bubble around myself. I was relatively comfortable but bored and stagnant. Or, maybe stale I could say and who wants to be stale? Haha!

I am luckier than most because I do not have a wife, or kids so, You wrote about failure and that can be a concern for those with families to take care of but I have some freedom on that aspect. I can take greater risks and I have in my past and it was fun. Why not take risks again?

That is why I quit what I have been doing for over a quarter century and decided to start fresh. I mean, life experience counts in my opinion so, it's not like I am once again twenty years old learning the ropes.

Anyway, like You I would encourage people to go out and have fun. Do something You enjoy and do not grow old and stale. If we do reach 90, we do not want to count our regrets. We want to count our adventures.

Thank You for your piece of writing here and all the best for the year to come - cheers!

Johannes, you taught us so much with your comment. I love that you're going after what you feel like you were put on this earth to do. I certainly resonate with that. And I was very comfortable in my own comfort for many years. I wrote this post about it in case you'd like to check it out.

Blessings for a wonderful 2026, my friend!

Great blog, Tarek. I can definitely relate to the 50 mph on 1" tires as well as the desire to stay in the comfort zone. Good timing and good reminder for me personally on this! Twisted Sisters appreciates it! ;)
