Discipline. Did your chest tighten up when you read that word? Are you thinking of failed attempts and a list of your limitations?
“I’m too old.”
“Others have already done it better.”
“I’d probably fail.”
”It’s too late.”
“I can never stay with anything.”
”I just can’t.”
And the worst one of all: “What will others think?”

If you argue for your limitations, you get to keep them.
Do you love your limitations enough to own them for the rest of your life?
Do you feel a bit of hope rising up? Don’t quench it. Trade 30 minutes of television or Instagram scrolling for reading or practicing your guitar. Work out for 10 minutes five days in a row. Change the narrative in your head by taking a 15-minute gratitude walk each morning. It’s impossible to be stressed and grateful at the same time.1
Today is your day for a new start.

Loved this! I believe this to be so true...it's never too late! I got my masters degree at 59 after a brain surgery and kept going at 63 after a second brain surgery. I am now almost 73 and in the last two years have learned Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop in order to do surface pattern design "on the side." I still see clients in private practice. Sometimes I feel crazy for not limiting myself, but I truly feel I'm living life the best way.
Nice reminder to never stop doing what you like and going after better or more. Thanks, Tarek.
