I am so proud of you for being transparent enough to share this. You have been there with me through my darkest days. Depression is real! When i felt like i was “stuck in a pit” and couldn’t see any light, it helped to have someone just listen. I love you and am here for you always.
I find that #2 on the list is a big one for most people because as we've become more connected through technology, we've lost real connection with other people. We see their updates on social media and tell ourselves we are "connected," but what we miss is the actual conversation.
I focus on helping people be better networkers, but it's not just for work purposes, it's for finding people you like to talk to and to have real conversations with so that you grow a professional relationship you care about.
This connection fills your cup and makes you feel better about yourself and the world.
So, I love to see that caring about your relationships helps beat depression. I think we all know this in our hearts, but it's good to remind our brains.
Well said, Greg. Knowing that someone went on vacation because you saw their photos on Instagram does not fill your cup like sitting across from someone sharing a cup of coffee and asking how they really are. Depression is tricky. You think you've got it beat, and it rears its ugly head. Connection matters. Thanks for sharing. I love the work you are doing. It matters!
I love this! Having gone through depression and anxiety in my own distant past (well...honestly who isn't anxious these days!), I like the reframe of it being about unmet needs.
Tarek, thank you for sharing and as I read I understand the need for accomplishment on the weekends, almost as there's a scoreboard in my head that no one else can see. As you approach number 100 I can say without a doubt it's changed my Sunday morning's for the better. I grow from it!
Thanks for sharing Tarek. 100% agree.. I find that those periods of "blahness" in my life are absolutely linked to a lack of meaningful activities at work or at home. Sometimes I have to push myself to shake things up.

You are my hero!
You're a role model for many, and I am but one of them! Thank you!
appreciate you MikeyOpp!

Thank you friend.

It’s coming in 2 weeks. Thanks Karina! Hard to believe. If nothing else, I’m proud of my consistency. Consistency compounds! Thanks for reading.

Thank you Mike! That means a lot. I know all about the internal scoreboard. So glad to have the chance to serve you.

I love that tip Ben. Get up and take action. This long weekend is a great time to dream up what's next and then take some action.
