I can relate. Last year was my switching year, leaving a 30-yr technology career for a full-time coaching career. So glad I did, but it’s been a long process of letting go, proving out, and embracing my new identity. It takes time. I’m not fully there yet, but the reps help cement the new identity.
am reminded of Lot's wife who looked back. even though there wasn't anything really to look back toward. its incredibly difficult to step into what's unknown. like when I was born again. my life forever changed in that moment. had no idea what the road would be; step by step it evolved. today, know beyond a shadow of a doubt, life is lived forward. appreciate your writings so much.
There's an excerpt from Built for More that feels relevant here. Keep moving forward, Tarek!
"Identity is transient. It’s meant to evolve. We will take on new roles and shed old ones until our time here is done.
But what isn’t transient—what we carry every step of the way—is the belief that we are worth more than it all. That who we are is not defined by the titles we hold or the trophies we win, but by the values we live."

It does take time and I believe it’s worth it!
