I can relate so much with Nicole. Though, I was told being a musician was too risky. I heard in my heart, “You don’t have what it takes.” I believed it, so chose a safer path. God still blessed me and I still did music as a hobby. I vowed to support my kids and watch what I say. One is starting her own marketing asset business. One is a Memphis police officer. One is a nurse. One is a seminary student. And I am there cheerleader. Good article!
I think this message is so important - especially today, when being authentic to who you truly are can get lost in the noise. Your statement about Nicole when you said, "I hope there are people around her who will never let her lose her dream," really hits home because this is where we learn acceptance of who we are.
This made me smile. Thank you for sharing. Children have a wealth of wisdom. We should take heed to learn from them more often.
I LOVE this! We can learn so much from kids
